When it comes to planning a wedding with us, it’s as simple as shooting us an email and sharing your vision. We love hearing from couples who are looking for a casual and intimate celebration. Frequently Asked Questions

is there a minimum spend?

Most events start around $1,100 + tax + gratuity. The price will vary from there depending on your specific needs. Please contact us for a personalized quote.

Are there noise level restrictions?

It’s important to note that we are in a residential building, so all patrons must be cleared of the facility by 10:30pm. We are conveniently located next to Halifax’s famous bar scene. Many couples have taken advantage of this by having their reception here before continuing the celebration downtown. Bliss offers the best of both worlds, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable wedding experience for all ages.

How does alcohol work at the wedding?

Bliss is a fully licensed establishment. Our cocktail menu can be made available to your guests. If you have specific preferences this can all be arranged prior to your event. 

CAN I DROP OFF ITEMS THE DAY BEFORE?

This would be a case by case situation as it depends on how much and how large the items are. In most cases we do not have the room to accommodate your items in the restaurant anytime before the event, however we usually work in a set-up period before the event. 

ARE THERE DECORATING RESTRICTIONS?

Nope! There are No decorating restrictions. Although, all decorations must be removed before we open the following day.

DO YOU REQUIRE A SECURITY DEPOSIT?

Yes, we do require a security deposit for any event held at our restaurant.

IS IT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes we are wheelchair accessible.

CAN I HAVE A LIVE BAND/ DJ?

Yes, you can absolutely have a live band/DJ.

ARE CANDLES ALLOWED?

 Yes, candles are allowed!

WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION?

There is lots of street parking which is free after 6pm!

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We are very generous in our cancellation policy. This will be laid out in each contract and does vary due to the unique timelines of each event. The most standard is you can cancel 8 weeks prior to the event with the deposit being returned. If you cancel after this the deposit will not be returned.

CAN I USE AN EVENT/WEDDING PLANNER?

of course! Wedding planners are great.

WHO PROVIDES LINENS, GLASSWARE, ETC?

We provide glassware and linens can be outsourced by us, or you.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE?

We accept Cash, credit, interact, e-transfer.

CAN I COME SEE THE SPACE?

of course! feel free to contact us to arrange a time for a walk through.

is there somewhere the person getting married can go before the ceremony to get ready/ not be seen by the other party?

Yes, we have beige drapes we set up in the back of the restaurant that makes the area private. This area can fit up to ten people and has a large counter that can be used.
